more proof that i may, indeed, be off my rocker

i walked into the library on monday afternoon to pick up a copy of (the book, not the movie) the falcon and the snowman from mara when i was greeted by this sign:

it was so surreal that i did a double take, then started walking to the computer section of the library. as i walked i started giggling. then laughing (quietly, this WAS the library). by the time i got to mara i was laughing more than i was comfortable with.

she asked what the problem was and i told her there was an insane sign just inside the door. by the time we got up to look at it, i was laughing uncontrollably, but attempting to maintain decorum, since i was in the library.

so i had to go outside because i was having a case of the church giggles.

how sad is it that this made me laugh so hard i cried?

very.

Strangely, I had to use that as word verification for this comment.

Word verification at the LIBRARY now????? What's next? Word verification before we can use public restrooms??
And why is it that things are ALWAYS funnier when it's somewhere we're not supposed to laugh. Maybe you've not been getting enough sleep again?? :)

just as long as i don't need to do word verification before sleeping...

i'd be screwed.

fqinmzwy... why do these always look welsh to me? (except for the q, clearly)
