even though i left this in the comments section of your welsh blog, would you please be so kind as to translate for us non-cymraeg speakers the contents of the post wherein you link to my blog? because it's bad for my ego to see my name, a hyperlink, the welsh word for english, and the word "beautiful" all in the same paragraph without knowing whether it's complimentary.
thank you in advance,
heatherfeather
(and i'm really jealous you actually speak welsh - it's in the top 5 languages i want to know)

yeah, inquiring minds want to know!
guess there aren't many online translators for welsh, eh?
there are online translators, but they don't translate well at ALL (i kept getting the phrase "crooked marriage") and i don't have any knowledge of welsh grammar wherein i could look at the poorly translated text and guess what it was saying.
so come on, chris! i need a big, strong, attractive man to help me out of a pickle (constructed of morbid curiosity)
yeah, now I'm curious too...do tell.
sflyzpon (is that Welsh for "your fly's open???)
Aha, what do you think it means? Wink, wink.
No, don't worry. I was simply expounding on my comment from yesterday that women never flirt with me. Wearing a wedding ring causes some sort of chemical reaction in which elements from the gold sink into my skin and turn into pheromones that repel flirting, I said.
The paragraph where you are mentioned is translated thusly: "As I mentioned yesterday on Heather's blog, I don't think that more than one woman has flirted with me since 1999. Of course, I have a beautiful wife, so I don't notice too much the girls who don't notice me."
I then noted that I had covered my ass by complimenting my wife even though she doesn't understand Welsh, and made a note to learn more words that are synonymous with "beautiful" so as to keep myself in good standing with her.
Lastly, I mentioned that girls had once flirted with me many moons ago and wondered if any of them ever thought about me. "They do not, more than likely," I said.
whilst quite appropriate that you used the word beautiful to describe your wife (well done! brownie points!) i can't be but a little let down that it wasn't about me...
alas... i'll need to get me a husband for that to happen, i suppose.
the question is: is it worth it? ;)
