So my school is having the GSIS Semi-Formal. We're HAVING PROM??? In grad school? This is SO weird...
(how could I NOT go to the GSIS prom? besides, crazy mara said she'd buy my ticket and be my date as long as we didn't do corsages.)

um, my school has an end-of-year banquet. it's mainly for the graduates, but pretty much everyone crashes the party. so yeah, we have a prom too. yet more proof that many forms of grad school are just thinly veiled, higher-priced versions of high school.
