Things I learned about horses from The Apprentice finale:
- Horses are sissies.
- They are also anti-capitalism.
- They would have been frightened by corporate sponsor Wisk's logo being painted on the polo field, or seen it as an obstacle to the goal.
Things of note in The Moscow Times today:
- Russian Cabinet meetings can deteriorate and ministers make statements to the effect that TV turns people into idiots.
- The Russian media put quite a sugarcoating on the 2 Chechen wars, and most people don't view the extent of the damage to Grozny or have a true awareness of how devastated it is, 10+ years after the beginning of the 1st Chechen war.
The NY Times (free subscription):
- Just when you switched from Vioxx to Celebrex, this happens.
- Will the EU let Turkey come to the table? Do the Turks want to go there?
- It's not named Bob(neither is it a bean), but it's bigger than yo' mama.
From CNN:
- The UN headquarters needs a cleaning team to sweep it thoroughly.
- It's a law, folks. Maybe I'll be the NDI in the next 30 years.
- Run, Jim!!
